Does UltraVPN affect battery drain?
Published · updated
Note: When using a VPN, all of your traffic is encrypted and decrypted. This requires extra CPU power, which in turn consumes more battery. The more applications you have running in the background with a VPN on, the faster your battery will drain.
You can try a few things to preserve your battery life:
Go to Settings > General in the UltraVPN app and enable Disconnect on sleep. This will disconnect the VPN while you are not using your phone, preserving battery life.
Close all the applications you are not using, and make sure they are not running in the background.
On iOS, you can check which applications drain more battery by following the steps provided in this article, taken from Apple support.
On Android, you can check which applications drain more battery by following the steps provided in this article, taken from Google support.
